Hello,
I've had a SONY PSP for a year now, but for some time it hasn't been able to read my 1GB Memory Stick (it's a real SONY MS PRO DUO). It's driving me crazy because I can't use certain functions or games because of this issue. I thought it might be a formatting problem, but even after trying FAT32 and FAT16, it doesn't work. I then considered that it might be a firmware issue, but I don't know how to revert to a previous version. I'm asking for your help and ideas on what could be causing the PSP not to recognize my Memory Stick.
Thank you in advance, Sky Hunter

So if your PSP no longer works, you can take it to a professional or change your memory card. If it still doesn't work, you can exchange it if it's under warranty because I took mine to a professional and since then it works very well.

I found the problem.
It’s enough to slightly file the end of the card because it is too long!!!
It's a flaw in the cards, not in the PSPs. -
Hello, that's absolutely false, my 8GB card works perfectly on my PSP. This is my second PSP because my other one was stolen, which was also cracked.

Merci

I advise you all not to have any memory card reading problems by flashing your PSP; that's how I got rid of all these issues, and I haven’t had any since.
See you! -
Hello, I'm sorry to tell you this, but recently Sony has decreed that 8GB cards and higher are not usable on the slim and lite.
Again, I'm sorry to disappoint you!
Sony has always had problems like these.
In that case, get a 4GB or lower.
See you soon. -
I have the same problem except that for me it's the videos that don't work even though I convert them to mpeg-4, it even says psp in my software! Anyway, every time I put a movie on my psp for some time it says "corrupted data"! So I format my psp and put the movie back on and then it works! But when I want to put another movie, it again says "corrupted data" and so I have to REFORMAT my psp every time before putting on a movie and I assure you it’s a hassle!!!! So if you have a solution please let me know thank you.... (((Best regards Yoya-Help)))
P.S.: My psp is the old one, it's a 5.50 (if it helps) and 4GB memory card.... -
Try with the software PSP9, here is the link: https://www.01net.com/telecharger/windows/Multimedia/encodeurs_et_decodeurs/fiches/32134.html I've never had any problems, let me know what it gives.

same problem here, I have the slim and my PSP doesn't want to read my card anymore, it's like it's worthless to me.
