No status from all my WhatsApp contacts

Hello,

I installed WhatsApp on my new phone using the Move to iOS app (from Samsung to iPhone). Everything went smoothly, I retrieved all my conversations and contacts. But since then, none of my contacts' status updates are showing. I checked all the options in Settings, everything seems to be checked correctly. And in the iPhone settings as well. There’s something I’m missing. Thank you for your help.

        Hi,

        As you may know, WhatsApp requires you to have a list of people you wish to talk to. You can open a conversation with a saved contact, but you will not be able to see their profile picture or current status.

        To view your contact's WhatsApp photo or status updates, they must first save you in their contacts list on their phone.

        If both parties have saved contact information on their phones, their statuses and profile pictures should be visible to each other.

        Double-check the saved contacts on your phones to ensure that you and your friend have the necessary contact information.

        The WhatsApp application should be updated immediately if it is outdated. Once you resolve the issue, the status of all your contacts on your phone will be displayed.

        To get the latest version of WhatsApp:

        • Simply open the Google Play Store.
        • Search for "WhatsApp."
        • Then click on the "Update" option.

        Open WhatsApp and click on the menu to display your privacy options. Go to Settings > Accounts > Status Privacy and you will see only three options.

        • My contacts
        • My contacts except
        • Share only with

        If you choose the first option, your status will be visible to all the people on your contacts list who use WhatsApp.

        If you choose the second option, all members of your contacts list will be able to see it, except for those you specify.

        To keep your status private, you can choose the third option, which is usually some kind of private mode.

        Check whether you are using mobile data or Wi-Fi. It is advisable to restart your Wi-Fi router if you are experiencing issues.

        Call your network provider if it does not work. Then, before changing the settings of your WhatsApp application, check that your network connection is working.

        The absence of WhatsApp status updates from other people can be due to many factors.

        First, they may not have saved your WhatsApp phone number. Second, they have not informed you of their status. The explanation can be found by speaking directly to the person in question.
