Hello Églantier,
I found out how to obtain some spells; they are self-made, for very difficult unlocks, indeed, and since I’m level 100 in all magic skills I was able to create crazy combined spells, I named them: statue of ice (ice and paralyze for 15 seconds), flames of hell, hunter mode (summoning bow, Night Vision, stealth, camouflage, etc..), assassin mode in the same vein, and more.

Hi Winux,
Those spells must be pretty cool. I really want to try them too... Do you have any screenshots?
I played another round this afternoon but not for long, I had huge stutters, unstable connection, but it happens very rarely.
On the Oblivion path I found a dead argonian and a dead human, it was a minotaur lord who had massacred them and I eliminated him, but it was too late for them, I resurrected them with the console's Resurrect command by clicking on each, but the problem is that before resurrecting them I looted them and took the human's house key and the key to the castle of I don't remember which Argonian city, and I saved the game, then I went on my way to the Oblivion plan, they won't be able to go back home... XD
Otherwise, I haven't tried the TFC command for free camera, I'm afraid I won't be able to disable it and go back, the ia chatgpt tool said there were risks...

Thanks for the screenshots. Damn, your spells are really powerful. I like the idea of being able to walk on water. And the rallying on the target is interesting too.
Now I just need to try to create spells.
On the other hand, I’ve reached level 100 in intelligence, and I’m missing a lot of magic points for most spells, even for some fire spells, even though I’ve mastered Destruction magic, or maybe I’m missing something…
For the two resurrected ones, I think I’ll reload a save beforehand, to avoid problems, and maybe cascade problems…
With the heatwave, indeed, it’s not ideal to play with a desktop PC with a graphics card, it overheats a lot.
Before I installed a Noctua heatsink last year, the CPU easily climbed to 94 degrees during heatwaves. This time, I’ve lost almost 30 degrees.
There was a time (more than 20 years ago) when I played with a desktop in a mezzanine that was my room, I also played during heatwaves, and I had installed software to monitor the CPU and GPU temperatures, and the GPU at one point showed more than 110 degrees, then there was a black screen with lots of large colored squares and the PC shut down.
I managed to turn it back on later. I subsequently installed a large copper heatsink with a fan in the middle on the graphics card ( Zalman brand heatsink) and I lost almost 70 degrees, that makes a difference.

Hello Winux,
Where are you at in Oblivion?
I just completed the quest for the Akaviri relic that the Countess of Bruma is after.
However, I can't find a merchant in any town who has more than 5000 gold, which forces me to sell my loot for much cheaper.

Hi Winux,
Thanks for the screenshots. You’re much more advanced than me.
What is "the court of madness"?
With the "boost" spell, you have to gallop at a speed... :o
I haven't completed the quest to obtain the sword you have yet; I still have my old ebony sword...
Right now, I’m stuck on the quest to harvest carnivorous fish scales; I have one left, but when I go to the exact marked spot in the water, there’s nothing...

Hi,
Folly Court, it’s the expansion with the realm of Sheogorath, where I obtain the sword by following one of the first quests
https://www.supersoluce.com/soluce/elder-scrolls-iv-oblivion-remastered/l-appat
Quest where you obtain the sword from one of the adventurers after having set the trap room back in motion.
They are zanier in this realm than the notoriously famous Black Hand.

That extension looks good.
I’ll do it when I’ve closed as many Oblivion portals as possible, I’m having fun discovering new ones and closing them one after another. And there’s always some really interesting loot, like the water-walking necklace, which I found today.
What level are you at again? I just reached level 23.
A few captures:
Hey hey, take it easy with that thing, it's not a toy!

Yes, I just found out about it while going to Cheydinal’s merchant. Damn, it’s expensive after all, to furnish everything, at least 13,000 gold pieces on top of 15,000 gold pieces for the house, and it isn’t that big compared to other houses, including one with a balcony near the chapel, I’m disappointed. XD
I got massacred at the Ayleid ruin of Kemen by 6 enemies at once: silencing, disease contraction, reduced skills,... I had to use major healing potions, and my magicka bar wasn’t moving, even after leaving the ruin, had to rest in a chapel... XD

Well well, a door to a Black Brotherhood sanctuary in Cheydinal...

Found a Svenja head on the invisible troll, is it related to a quest?

Ah, that sunset...
Hi Winux,
How’s it going?
Big problem with my Lenovo X230 laptop yesterday afternoon: the fan was running hard, again and again, then a little burning smell and the fan made a sharp, screeching noise. I powered off by holding the power button for several seconds.
I turned it back on this morning, it works, but when it heats up a bit, I hear the fan make a slight sharp noise and a rubbing sound, which is bad timing...
A few Oblivion screenshots:
I still love running on water, it shortens the distance from one point to another.
The famous master key for locks!Hello Eglantier,
Today I’m fine, but last week I was sick, probably a sinus infection, it was a bit complicated, but it didn’t stop me from writing to you a little.
Thanks for the seller, I will be the one to sell to now.
For your x230, either it is clogged and with dry paste, or the fan noise indicates an end of life, however I reassure you, this model is very well known you should find on some specialized sites the fan, then you go to YouTube and you type the computer’s reference followed by the English word "disassembly" to get PC laptop teardown videos.
Example:
https://youtu.be/kyWrhNxbJnw?si=SChrHMrWl9q-FuPn
Ouch, sinusitis hurts...
In fact, the merchant, I found him in an inn in the imperial city, I don’t know where his shop is located.
Thanks for the tip and for the YouTube link.
I’ve already taken apart a laptop in the past, a Sony Vaio LT1S whose GPU overheated (Nvidia acknowledged the issue with this model) but my big problem is that when I take something apart that’s a bit complicated, I have a lot of trouble putting it back together the way it was at the start.

Yes, I admit it, for most people myself included, laptop PCs aren’t quite my cup of tea yet. You have to know how to clip the ribbons without breaking anything, dismantle the keyboard to access other screws sometimes; depending on the models it isn’t always simple. That’s why I recently got a budget entry-frame (but wow, the price anyway).
For the X230, you have to content yourself with accessing the cooling system.
Okay, but I feel like it’s going to be long...
However, I have an idea that might seem stupid, but is it possible and safe to put the laptop in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes? This would then allow, when turning it on, to transfer all my files to an external SSD without it overheating too much...
Oh alright, no fridge then. :)
I’m going to inquire.
A few Oblivion captures:
What are we waiting for?

I'm posing with my goblin friend!

Not yet! That’s enough, madam spider!

The fire and the lightning meet...
Hello Winux,
How are you?
The fan in my laptop is functioning normally again, which is odd... I was able to transfer all my files to an external SSD.
I put Linux in power-saving mode so it’s not too stressed, but I’m not sure it makes much difference. In any case, the CPU doesn’t go above 84 degrees when it’s really stressed, I’m being careful.
I went to the dentist on Friday, an hour and a half to repair two very damaged broken teeth, and the next appointment in a few days to repair two more broken teeth, an hour and a half as well, plus crowns to be placed.
And at the beginning of September, I have another appointment for a surgical operation, I have a tooth whose root ends in the countryside and at the very bottom there is an infectious focus, the dentist will have to cut a piece of gum, it’s the waking up after the anesthesia that I will really feel... XD
I replayed part of Oblivion this afternoon, despite the heat. I ran into three women who set a trap for me on a farm...
Screenshots coming soon.
Hi Eglantier,
On my side I also have dental problems, believe me. I ate so many candies when I was a kid that I have a tooth half broken. I went to get a quote from a specialist last year, but they wanted to make two crowns, whereas where I used to live, with my old dentist, on an even worse tooth where I was in a lot of pain, the quote was three times cheaper and the work was done impeccably. I need to see other specialists farther from home for other quotes. I clearly don’t want to get ripped off. It seems that nearly two-thirds of dental specialists, I saw on TV, were giving false diagnoses to pad the bill. It’s revolting.
Glad you managed with the fan, and believe me, on some processor platforms, including my laptop, the power-saving mode is truly effective under Linux. It partly depends on the base and boost frequencies that laptop processors can regulate, which can either limit heating or, conversely, reach spikes in frequency up to the maximum possible TDP before dropping again in frequency.
