Hello,
What I’m going to explain works with the Google Messages app.
When the SMS content is displayed, click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and then on Information.
Then click on Notifications.
In the new screen, click on Notification sound. You can then select the sound that will be associated with the SMS sender as well as the volume. The recording is immediate.
What is well conceived is clearly expressed,
And the words to say it come easily.

Hello, it's for my parents who don't end the SMS conversation; they don't necessarily hear if we reply right away...
Yes, I agree, but the person writes the text message and then leaves the phone behind while walking away. If I reply immediately, it will already be open, but the person won’t have heard it.
Hello,
With Google Messages, a sound can be played when a new message is received (and when sending) when the conversation is open.
To activate it, select the profile in the top right > Messages app settings, then enable Play a sound for incoming and outgoing messages.
Are you talking about this sound? If that's the case, the notification volume should be set to maximum to be heard, but it may still go unnoticed.
The best option would be to at least minimize the app or turn off the phone before leaving it, or to reduce the time before it automatically shuts down.
Hello, yes I think that's the sound, it’s activated correctly.
It does indeed increase the notification sound. But it doesn’t change much.
“The best would be to at least minimize the app or turn off the phone before leaving it, or to decrease the time before it shuts down automatically.”
Yes
Thank you
