No sound (soundbar) when casting

Good evening everyone.

I connected an optical cable to my Bouygues TV decoder, linked to a soundbar. It works with the TV, but not when I cast certain apps: myCanal, France tv,... On the internet, I've seen similar problems discussed, but I haven't found any real solution. Can you help me? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

The reason is simple: when you cast, it doesn't go through the TV box, it would be better to use an IPTV box, Chromecast, Apple TV, if the TV doesn't have a direct network connection.

And there you go, there it is ....

But goodness, how annoying the line spacing is!!

I don't understand. It necessarily goes through the TV decoder, since nothing else allows me to cast directly to my TV (an old Grandin).

What are the references (Brand and model) of the television?

It has, who knows, an optical audio output that could be useful.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

No, but there is no alternative for a direct connection to the TV. Otherwise, I would have already done it.

Not being a user of "casting" methods at all, it's difficult for me to advise you.

However, check whether the issue isn't related to an audio format problem, either with the bboxtv or the sound bar.

What model is this sound bar?
