Turn off the Nokia 8010 box

Hello, I have a Nokia 8010 box connected to my TV and before the update, when I turned off my TV, the box would turn off at the same time. But now only the TV turns off and the box stays on. Do you know how to turn everything off with the box remote?

    Hello Roi2piK2,

    I think you need to reactivate CEC in the box options (CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is a protocol that allows you to control multiple HDMI devices with a single remote control).

    I have an option, but I can only choose if I turn off the box or the TV, but not both at the same time, and I can’t find the CEC.

    Hello again Roi2piK2,

    The option can be found in the Android settings:

    first go to "System settings,",

    then "Device preferences,",

    next "Display and sound,",

    and finally "HDMI CEC".

    Here, you should find checkboxes to allow your box's remote to "control" your TV as well.

    Otherwise, do the same manipulation but on your television. This time, it is your TV remote that will turn off both the box and the TV.

    This is a known issue since the last Android TV update on the Nokia Box 8010. Previously, the HDMI-CEC function (which allowed the box to be turned off at the same time as the TV) worked perfectly, but it has been disabled or altered by default after the update.
