Unlocking Sharp GX25 Phone

Hello everyone! I am a young person who grew up with "smartphones." I have never known phones with buttons. However, not long ago, I went to a flea market in my village, and I managed to find a button mobile phone!
The Sharp GX25. [Image at the end]
Unfortunately, I cannot use it because it is SFR locked... and I am an Orange customer.
All the options available online are paid, so I don't know how to use this phone, no menu is available (maybe because it is unusable without a SIM card? I don’t know)
It remains stuck on a screen that says "Invalid SIM card." Moreover, I cannot reset it because no menu appears, and I don’t have a data cable for this phone, I only have a charger for the wall outlet.
If someone has the solution, I welcome it with open arms! Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I'm fine with being a collector, but for real use of these devices from another era, it's best to avoid investing too much money since the 2G/3G networks will be shut down in the coming years, and the frequencies of 3G are already often repurposed for 4G.
Some neighboring countries, like Switzerland, have already shut down their 2G networks.
And there you go, there it is ....
But goodness, those line spacing issues are so annoying!!
Hello,
For both young and old, the rule is the same. Unlocking is handled by the mobile operators.
You will obviously need a new SIM card.
Regarding the cable, see:

For the conditions allowing for free unlocking, see the last link. You will not find any procedures on CCM to bypass the providers' protections.
Additionally, a few points to check:
- the operating system of this phone being proprietary (understand different from Android) there is no assurance that it still works on current networks.
- the distribution of Sharp phones has been halted since 2024 but the last smartphones were operating under Android for some time unlike the GX25
It is not certain that there are still technicians at Sharp France who can provide information on a model released in October 2005.
- if the smartphone is locked by a password, no assistance can be provided to unlock it.

Hello,
What's more, it's not exactly a smartphone; all it does is make phone calls, plain and simple, if it even connects via GPRS, which isn't guaranteed.
We don't really see the point in unlocking it (in this case, definitely with the IMEI by phone since we don't have an SFR account) to test it with, for example, an Orange SIM inside.
If we want to see if it works (for what purpose, to make calls?), we can just as easily put in a prepaid SFR SIM card.
