Hello,

I am looking to stream the video output from the HDMI box of my Freebox Révolution to my PC. To do this, I am using a scaler (HD Fury Arcana) to an acquisition box (AVerMedia Live Gamer Mini) and for the sound through an HDMI to Jack box connected to my sound card. I have also disabled HDCP in my video card (AMD Radeon RX7600). However, I am getting a black screen; can someone share their insights, please? Thank you in advance.

    Hello!

There are several possible reasons for this problem. First, check if all devices are properly connected and powered on. If the screen remains black, it may be due to a resolution issue. Make sure the output resolution of the Freebox matches what your screen can handle.

The problem may also come from your HDMI cable; try another one to see if that resolves your issue. Also, check that your graphics card and driver are up to date.

If HDCP is disabled, that can also cause a black screen. You mentioned that you have already disabled HDCP on your video card. Make sure it actually supports HDCP. If it doesn't, you could try another device, or use an HDMI converter that removes HDCP protection.

Finally, the issue might originate from the capture box. Ensure that it is functioning properly and is compatible with the output resolution of the Freebox. If all else fails, you might want to reach out to AVerMedia's technical support for more details.

I hope these initial suggestions help you resolve your issue.

Well, I solved the problem: my setup was wrong (thanks to outdated or incorrect tutorials). So, the setup should be as follows:

Box -> HDMI Converter -> AV (RCA video) -> AV Converter (RCA video) -> HDMI -> Capture card

The switch to analog wipes the metadata, so HDCP is bypassed and you can watch your box on your computer. Done.
