Netflix subtitles briefly shift the frame

Hello community,

First of all, thank you to those who will help me.

My problem is the following: For the past few weeks, when I watch a movie or a series on Netflix in full screen on my Dell PC, the image briefly shifts up and then down as the subtitles appear and disappear, black bars included. The same happens when moving the mouse brings up the playback bar. One could say that a talkative movie can quickly make you feel nauseous...

Once again, thank you for your help and I apologize for my incompetence in computer matters.

    Hello,

Your computer's image format must not conform to the one used by Netflix....

Adjust your computer display settings, such as the TV formats, to 1080x1920

if your Netflix movie is not streaming in 4K..??

Thank you for your response. In fact, I launched my movie on Firefox and there were no issues... except for a desynchronization of the subtitles that occurs during the session...

Why what works on Firefox is problematic on Chrome, I don't know, but at least I can watch my subtitled movies (as long as the desync isn't systematic...)

    Hello,

It's quite difficult to explain... and it may be related to the format of the subtitles... depending on whether they are embedded in the video or injected separately... also, the "Codec" used to encode this film, and the way it's done...

In short... it's important to remember that Chrome or Firefox are web browsers and watching videos is not their primary purpose.

In my opinion, the VLC player would be more suitable and that's its mission.
