Hello,

I have a remote control television in my camper van.

I just changed the FRANSAT card that had expired but I can't get the TV to work again.

I have an error message "missing Cam mod...".

What does that mean?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

    Good evening,

The CAM (Conditional Access Module) is a device that connects to the CI+ interface of your television to decode FRANSAT channels via the smart card. If the television displays this message, it means it does not recognize the CAM module, which may be due to a connection, installation, or compatibility issue.

You can try the following in order:

Check the insertion of the CAM module and the FRANSAT card.

    Restart the television.

Check the orientation of the satellite dish.

    Reset the CAM module:
Access the television's settings menu (often under "Settings" or "Configuration").

Look for the option for the CI+ module (for example, "TV Module" or "CAM CI+").

Perform a complete reset of the module: select "Restore factory settings" and confirm by pressing OK. Wait for the message "The CAM module with the broadcaster's profiles has been inserted," then start the automatic setup to install the FRANSAT profile.

Some CAM modules require an update to function properly, especially on older televisions or after a card change. Check on the FRANSAT website if an update is available for your CAM module or television. Follow the instructions to perform the update (often via a message on the screen when exiting standby).

    Hoping to help you!
