Straighten horizon photo

Hello, before I used to straighten the horizon of a photo and then I would adjust the canvas to the layer to remove the empty edges, but now with the new version it doesn’t work, why?

    I see that no one has offered a solution to your problem.

    Personally, I don't use Gimp, which seems very complicated and doesn't meet my needs. I use LightRoom.

    If I had to straighten the horizon and automatically crop the photo using free tools, I would use XnView MP.

    You can request a grid display and under the Image tab, you'll find Rotation.
    It is possible to do a free rotation (or a specified number of degrees), requesting the automatic cropping of the image.
