Hello,
My Microsoft account address is no longer in service. I'm looking for how to change it.
The problem is that I am being asked for my email address or my phone number to do that.
Whatever solution I try, an identification code is sent to me, but, of course, to my expired address.
I'm going in circles.
Please let me know how to proceed.
Thank you.

    Hello @YvanM-34 StatusMember.

    Try this alternative https://support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/account-billing/aide-relative-au-formulaire.

      Hello bazfile.
I followed this link. It’s about account recovery, which is not the case, but rather a simple change of email address.

Nevertheless, I filled out the form, but I was unable to provide a code for this email, nor for Skype, Outlook, or purchases on Microsoft.
This account is over 10 years old and since I don't use Microsoft tools, it's difficult to fully complete this form.
However, I was supposed to receive a response using another email address that I provided, but I'm still waiting.
Thank you nonetheless for this link.

      Thank you MPMP10

I have already tried all these Microsoft services. I don't need to recover my account, it works, but with an expired email address. Any attempt to make a change requires sending a security code from Microsoft, to the expired address. If I use my phone number, it’s not enough for them, it sends me back to the email.
      SO WHAT.

    Hello,

If you are trying to change the Microsoft account associated with your Windows session, you can switch to a local account to disconnect it, then switch back to a Microsoft account, which will allow you to use another one.

    Hello Helpios, and thank you.

The Microsoft account and the local account both have the outdated email address (terminated domain).
I tried to add an account, but I ended up with an error...
I just created a new Microsoft account. I'll see tomorrow what I can do with it.

In the "Your information" section, below your name, do you see the mention "Local account" or the outdated address?

    Hello
In the section: my information, the outdated address appears, which is the same as the Microsoft account address.
I created a new Microsoft account, which I added to the local account hoping that I could then delete the account with the outdated address, but it's impossible. I can only delete the account I just created.
If I can't find a solution, it will stay like this. The address has been outdated for months and I manage without Microsoft services, but it’s frustrating.

The session account is therefore linked to the Microsoft account; it is not a local account for now. Still in the "Your info" section, click on Sign in instead with a local account (at the bottom of the page). Follow the instructions to set up the local account, then click on Sign out and finish.

I don't have the option: connect instead with a local account. I have the opposite: switch from a local account to a Microsoft account.
If I choose this second solution, I arrive at the Microsoft account I created yesterday and nothing more because it can't find my PC.
Let's forget about it, I'm a bit tired of going in circles.
Thank you very much for your help.
        Yvan

One last thing if you don't mind, please check if the accounts connected to the PC appear in "Emails and accounts". There should be an option to remove them.

Here is what appears in this section.
The outdated address and the address I created 2 days ago.
I can delete this second address, but not the outdated address.

Is the local account an administrator? I think the expired address may be linked to a professional account. Go to "Work or School Access" to disconnect it if you find it.

Otherwise, all you have to do is create a brand new local account from "Family and other users" - the obsolete address should no longer be present - then transfer your current user account to this new account. Once done, you can delete your old Windows account.

Email addresses are of no interest to me. All my addresses are online under domains that I own.
I tried to create a family account, but it's impossible to move or cancel the main account with the incorrect address.
I'm throwing in the towel before I have a real problem.
Thank you for your assistance, and have a great weekend.
