A recently appeared empty folder named "inetpub" on Windows 10 and 11 has raised questions among users, who often deleted it, considering it unnecessary. However, despite its misleading appearance, it plays a crucial role. Indeed, although it is empty, it is essential for the patching of a serious security vulnerability. If you have already deleted "inetpub," a simple solution is to briefly enable the IIS feature in Windows settings to automatically recreate this essential folder. What do you think about Microsoft's difficulty in communicating clearly about its updates and the importance of this small empty folder?

Well, why don't they restore it themselves? When IIS is installed, the folder comes back if you delete it. What a bunch of donkeys, seriously...
