Printing issues with Epson WF-7835 printer

Hello,
I bought an Epson WF-7835 printer 3 years ago that worked for years with compatible 405 XL ink cartridges.
Lately, my printer has stopped printing and tells me that the cartridge (compatible but new) is empty.
Have you ever encountered this problem and how did you solve it?

it is likely that Epson has updated the printer's firmware...
However, that doesn't mean it prevents printing..??
It is probably connected via WiFi..?
Does the scanner work...? to scan an image to a file...?

The printer works well in WIFI.
The scanner is working.
The printer refuses to print and shows low ink level (for a full compatible black ink cartridge).
I still think that it's the ink level that's to blame... Because there is no sensor or measurement of the level... it's only a calculation based on the number of pages printed... Empty or not empty...
There are also "compatible" cartridges that have defects in the chip... you need to request an exchange from the seller...
