Hello,

I wanted to use Audacity as usual (last used in February 2025 on my updated Windows 11 PC) but it's impossible: no audio device for playback or recording can be found. ("Internal port audio error") However, sound works normally when playing files or online. I tried the Windows troubleshooting for driver updates in vain. Do you have any suggestions to restore the connection with these devices? Thank you in advance.

Hello

Oh, it seems that it happens to him from time to time, but to find out what has been modified in the last month, we can follow this kind of tutorial to get it working again:

Thank you, in the meantime I tried to check everything on Windows, including the audio port manager. In a last-ditch effort by downloading the latest version of Audacity 3.7.3, a miracle happened: the devices reappeared! I’m probably wrong not to keep trying to understand, but it satisfies me!
