Hello,

I just migrated my old MacBook Air to Ubuntu, but it seems that my network card is not detected and I can't fix this problem.

Operating system information: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
Hardware model: Apple Inc. MacBook Air 6,2
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4260U × 4

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Yes, but you are talking about a Wi-Fi network card. You must surely know if there was a WIFI card on your Apple Inc. MacBook Air 6,2... before...?

If so, it is to this Wifi card that UBUNTU will need to connect for it to work... so you need to find the driver for this card in UBUNTU and install it...

You should run the following command line to know the type of wifi card

 lspci -nnk | grep 0280 -A3

If you have USB ports, you should be able to install a USB Wifi Dongle in the meantime

Hello,

Apparently, this model uses a BCM4360 Wifi card (see here).

If that's the case, to install it, try this procedure and let us know if there are any errors if it doesn't work.

Good luck

Good evening,

Our reader isn't responding much... I even have the feeling that they're not really interested anymore...?
