Hello everyone,

I thought I was making a good deal by buying a new (but second-hand) Olivetti ECR 7700 eco SD register on the classifieds.

After doing a reset, adding a new SD card, and inserting new batteries, I am trying to enter the SIRET code and NAF code... but when I get to the end of entering all the information, it says no file and the register is stuck unless I do a reset.

Nothing works and the register is unusable???? Is there anyone who could help me, please?

Thank you very much in advance

Good evening,

The problem may be related to the format of the SD card; can you make sure that the SD card is in FAT32 format?
Here is a screenshot from the user manual, the NO FILE code indicates that it cannot open the file. What is the file format of the SD card and are there any files on the card by default?

Otherwise, you might try resetting the cash register and let it configure the card automatically.
One last thing, what is the size of the SD card? Is it provided by the seller of the machine?

Hello,

Thank you for your responses, I've tried all of this in vain ????

I bought this box on Le Bon Coin, the SD card was not included because the seller told me it had his personal info on it (which I understand), so I bought a new Kingston SDS2/64GB Canvas Select Plus SD Card Class 10 UHS-I 64 GB.

And nothing works, I've been looking into it for days, searching for solutions that I unfortunately can't find.

The person who sold it to me said they had everything put on the card according to the manual and that everything worked, but that's not the case for us and I can't find any solution to my problem other than to resign myself ????

Hello,

A new but second-hand cash register?

This question comes up frequently.

We assume that the cash register meets current tax standards, otherwise we are living dangerously.

Assuming I am the first holder and that I want to obscure part of my accounting, this security measure must prevent the simple change of the SD card.

I fear that only Olivetti's customer service, with proof of purchase, will be able to reset it.

The previous owner bought it new, he left his contact information inside (it worked) but he never used it, the protective film is still on it, it is really new and given the number of boxes on second-hand sites I thought it was possible to buy it there.

I am giving up programming and will turn to a professional to buy a new one from now on.
