Hello,
I have a TOSHIBA REGZA television that I've had for many years with a FREE box, everything has been fine until now, but for a while my TV won't turn on and the box won't start, I have to unplug the BOX several times before the TV turns on and even then I have to press the FREE remote multiple times. I changed all the equipment from FREE, but nothing has changed. However, once it's on it works perfectly, and if you turn it off when it's warm and turn it back on immediately, it powers on without any issue. Thank you for your replies.

Hello,
What is the model of this REGZA television?
The Regza-link function uses CEC technology and allows control of a compatible device with Toshiba REGZA-LINK from the television remote control.
It must also be properly programmed and in service (this should be mentioned in the manual), as well as the CEC function being activated on the devices connected to this television via the HDMI ports.
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...-
Hello baladur
That's right, since you mentioned it, I remember seeing that (the CEC function) in the Freebox settings...
Not being concerned, I had overlooked that possibility; however, I suppose the TV can be powered on by itself to play a DVD or use the console, possibly?!
I don't understand why Free offered/accepted to change the equipment!?!?
Why did Free propose/accept to change the equipment !?
Probably because when they don't have an obvious solution to offer and their equipment is known to them to potentially have issues in the situation presented, it is, commercially speaking, more effective to change the hardware rather than risk losing a customer.

Hello,
Have you tried resetting your television?
In this context, I suspect a defective electronic component or an issue with the power circuit of the television.
Perhaps a faulty capacitor as well.
Does it turn on or not when it’s not connected to your BOX?The wisest thing would be to take it to a repairman and get a quote beforehand, or consider getting a new television.

Hello OiseauDynamique24
When you say "it turns on" or "it doesn't turn on," do you mean that no image is displayed?
The TV and the Freebox are two separate devices that "turn on" independently of each other!
Is the Freebox connected to the TV via HDMI?
Check on the TV that it is correctly switched to the "HDMI" source...
You said "I changed all the equipment from FREE," so we just need to test the TV!
