Mosaic margins illustrator

Hello,
I'm trying to scan paper sewing patterns so that they can be printed in A4 format.
When printing, I want each A4 sheet to be surrounded by 1cm margins.
I can't seem to create margins on each sheet of the mosaic while keeping the pattern pieces at the correct dimensions.
Can someone help me???
Thank youuuuuuu

If I understand correctly, you have a pattern that is bigger than an A4 page that you want to print fully on A4 pages with an overlap of 1 cm?
Yes. That's it. I'm trying to digitize a pattern I've made by hand; its dimensions = several A4 pages. And I would like to be able to print it and reconstruct it like a puzzle; with margins that would be used to tape the pages together and that would ultimately disappear (the margins)
With Illustrator, it should be possible, but personally, I would keep it simpler...
From your scans, you create a PDF file to actual size.
Then in Acrobat, you use the "print" function and specify an overlap of 1 cm (or less or more)
You can add crop marks to help you.
Be careful if you print with a laser, there may be a lack of registration due to the paper expanding in the oven.
