Xiaomi Mi Box 3 won't turn on

Good evening,

I have a Xiaomi Mi Box (Model MDZ-16-AB) that I can no longer get to work.

I don't know if the problem is with the box, the remote control, or both.

When I plug it in, there is a red light near the audio jack.

I cannot turn it on with the remote, even with new batteries (no light on the remote, even when I press different buttons).

I tried to turn it on by plugging in a mouse and clicking; I would have liked to test it with a keyboard but I don't have one on hand.

I also found a universal remote but I can't configure it, and apparently the device needs to be turned on anyway so that doesn't help me.

Do you have a solution or do you think the box is dead?

    Hello,

    I'm following up on the issue; I tried to turn on the Mi Box by connecting a USB keyboard and pressing several keys on the keyboard, but there's still no response from the box, which remains with the red light on the back and doesn't turn on.

    Thank you in advance if you have any other suggestions or if you think the box is completely dead.
