Thunderbird: "Open attachment" button inactive.

Hello,

For some time now, when I receive an attachment in my usual email client Thunderbird (the attachment clearly visible at the bottom of the screen), a small window opens as usual, offering me the option to OPEN or SAVE AS the attachment in question. However, the button to confirm either choice is "grayed out" and thus completely inactive.

Who can help me resolve this very annoying issue?

      The problem most often occurs with attachments in Word or Excel. But the most surprising thing is that this problem doesn't happen every time; in other words, sometimes it works perfectly normally, and sometimes I cannot open or save the attachment because the button is inactive! A mystery indeed...

    Does clicking on Save at the bottom right work?

    No, it is the "OK" button that is grayed out, so inactive, and does not allow for opening or saving the files sent as attachments.

    when I click on Save I don't have an Ok button
