Wi-Fi not found and issue with 192.168.0.1

Good evening,
I just arrived at the student residence and the modem I have (Numericable) is the same as the one the person who occupied my studio before me had.
I plugged it in correctly but my Wi-Fi does not appear, and when I try to connect to http://my modem or http://192.168.0.1, I get error messages. This affects all my browsers (Opera, Chrome, Bing, Firefox...) as well as both my phone and my laptop.
Before anyone tells me to try with an Ethernet cable, I must specify that my laptop does not have a port.
Is there a solution?

Hello,
if the wifi network from the box is dead and you don't have an ethernet port (it's easy to add one).
Do you have a smartphone? Does it not see it either?
Have you asked the residence to see if the wifi network is not hidden?
And there you go, there you have it....
But misery, those line breaks are so annoying!!
