Watercooling Compatibility and Motherboard

Hello, I have a little problem when mounting the fans. I'm a beginner and I don't know how to connect them. I have a B650-PLUS TUF Gaming motherboard and a GEFORCE 4080 RTX graphics card. Could I get some help, please?
I plan to use a hub for 9 fans + RGB... So I want to connect the Thermalright water cooling directly to the motherboard on the AIO pump port, but the connector has 4 pins on the motherboard, and it's the same connector on the pump, but there is one pin that is blocked (plastic obstructing one pin)... In this case, should I also connect the pump to the hub? Is it not dangerous? And since I have a total of 9 fans including those from the water cooling, do I have to remove one fan, which bothers me a little??? How should I proceed???? Thank you in advance for any useful information ????????

Hello,
On the ASUS B650-PLUS motherboard, there is indeed a dedicated AIO_PUMP connector for liquid cooling system pumps. It is a 4-pin connector. It is quite normal for some pumps to have a connector with one of the pins blocked (usually a ground pin), this should not pose any problem for the connection. This connector is designed to manage the pump separately from the fans to ensure its proper operation at constant speeds.
Should you connect the pump to the hub?
No, it’s better to avoid connecting the pump to the fan hub.

Align the pump connector with the 4-pin connector of the AIO_PUMP port on the motherboard. It is designed to fit in only one direction, so it should insert without forcing.
Even with the pin obstructed, the connector will latch properly onto the AIO_PUMP port. This will not cause any issues, as the obstructed pin is deliberately unused.
