Hello,

I have been experiencing this error: 0x8007043B when searching for updates or installing software via the Microsoft Store for a while now. I am on Windows 10 and have followed the procedure which involves adding BITS and WUAUSERV to the list of services in the netsvcs key... The "Background Intelligent Transfer Service..." is started. I have done everything mentioned here. Could someone please help me?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Do you have a third-party antivirus with an integrated firewall that could block its access?

Hello, thanks for your reply. No, I don't have any antivirus, Windows Defender and the Windows firewall are disabled.

Reactivate the Windows firewall and restart Windows.

The firewall must be active to download from the Microsoft Store.

Defender can be disabled, but not removed, otherwise it breaks Windows Update.

The only solution would be a repair without data loss or an update.

To perform a repair without data loss or an update, use the MediaCreationTool to download a Windows ISO file. (For another PC) For Windows 11 you can do it directly.

For Windows 11, if compatible, you can check with WhyNotWin11.

Windows 10
https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10/

Windows 11
https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows11

Once the ISO file is downloaded, open it with 7-Zip and extract everything into a folder anywhere except directly on C:\.

https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Click on the setup.exe found in the extracted folder.

I just activated the firewall and tried again but it still doesn't work and I don't want to reset my PC, is there another solution?

Perform a repair without data loss by keeping your data and applications, as I wrote, it's the least burdensome option.

It requires the ISO of the same language, that's all.

If it's not exactly the same language, it will not allow you to keep your stuff.
