Hello,
I'm desperately trying to download Format Factory but Windows Defender tells me that the file is not safe and that there is a virus: PUABundler:Win32/FormfacBundle.
The same problem occurs on all download sites.
What should I do?

It's nothing serious; it means that this free software contains another software called adware. This is the business model for many free software programs that monetize this way. If you're not careful during installation, this additional software may get installed. You need to carefully read the different screens so you don't get trapped.
Sometimes free software does not originate from an adware, but some download sites repack the software and add an adware. That's why it's preferable to download software from their publisher's website. Format Factory is published by pcfreetime.
