Hello,
I would like to retrieve my code on a new phone number, as my old phone number is no longer active. I have the password, but I cannot log into my email account. When I try to do so, it asks me to enter an activation code that the system sends to my old phone number, which is no longer active.

You cannot receive the code on the new phone.
In this case, instead of using the code sent by Gmail, you can use the backup codes that you printed and set aside in a safe place when you still had access to your email.
