USB key in read-only mode on Mac
Anonymous user -
Hello,
I have a USB drive on which I cannot add or delete anything. I tried to erase it with Disk Utility but there is an error, and I don't know what to do anymore.
I am leaving you screenshots of the information page of my USB drive and Disk Utility, hoping that someone can help me.
Thank you in advance

Good evening,
According to your screenshots, you are failing after selecting the "volume," which means the existing partition on the physical USB key.
From the Disk Utility presentation menu, choose "Show all devices"... then select the physical part of the key and not its volume, and then choose Erase... to select the desired format (MS DOS, APFS, or Mac OS Extended...)
If you opt for the MS DOS format (Windows format), take the MBR scheme; for a Mac format, choose the GUID scheme.
Best regards.

Have a good day, good evening, good night ;)

Hello,
Thank you for your response, but I got stuck on your explanations.
I selected "show all devices" but I only see the volume part of the key. That is to say, it says physical volume but I still have the same problem when I try to delete it.
Good evening,
I don't speak Spanish, but it seems to me that the choice "Borrar" could mean "Delete," and thereby allow formatting this drive in a desired format...
