The selection color in Word
SolvedCelka_3282 Posted messages 3 Status Member -
Hello everyone. When I select text in Word, the color is black, which is strange and has been the case for a week. I am asking for help to return to the normal color, which is light blue.

Hello,
This was a known issue that may be due to voice recognition. Look here:

Hello,
There is no "normal" text color in Word; the default and most commonly used font color is black, but nothing prevents you from writing in your chosen color by manually selecting a font color or by applying it to a style (home menu by selecting and/or modifying the desired style) or specific template used for this document or all documents created, which then need to be modified accordingly.
If I copy and paste from the Web into a "black" Word document, the result will be in the font of that text and most often analyzed as a hyperlink, thus blue by default, but that's another question. -
Actually, it seems I may not have been understood. When you press Control+A to select text in Word, the selected text is black instead of light blue. That's what I want to fix.

I don't know, I highlighted a document to check, when I press CTRL+A, the entire selection appears with a grey background, but when I paste it into another document, it remains highlighted in blue.
Check what the copy-paste options are in Advanced Options, keep source and see the third item, does the destination document have a different style initially?

Hello,
The default selection color in Word is gray. To return to this color, you need to make changes in the registry.
