Unable to display the DCIM of my Galaxy on my PC

With my Galaxy S5, I could access a window containing all the files on my mobile on the screens of my PCs (Asus and Mac).
With the A52s, Smartswitch is the only option... and while it is possible to back up and restore, it is impossible to open any specific file (the photo file, for example). Neither by cable nor by Wi-Fi...
I can't find any effective advice online! (Often the suggested actions use menus that don't appear on my devices)
Can anyone help me?

Hello,
You need to at least unlock your phone, and there should normally be a notification allowing you to choose the transfer mode.
Best regards.
Indeed, as long as file transfer is not allowed on the phone, the explorer sees nothing.
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...
Hello,
On recent Android phones, a notification appears as soon as you connect the USB cable and asks for the action to be taken.
In older Android versions, you had to enable USB debugging in the developer mode of the phone and install the adb driver on the PC, the generic one is enough for almost all brands... except Samsung which has a specific Samsung adb driver, both of which can be easily found on the Internet.
It remains to be seen if Samsung has kept this feature for the new phones, in any case outside of the software interface, Smart Switch includes the driver in question.
Hello friends, I'm back to simply propose the basics, good luck
You connect your camera or phone to the USB port of the PC, and you find "on the left" USB drive in your directory tree USB drive, double click on it ‘Private’ a third double click on AVCHD for the video (or another format) then double click on BDMV finally you have stream it is the folder of your video files to transfer select and copy-paste into your "video" folder all these files to then place them on editing software you can test by clicking on a file ‘right button’ “open with” choose your viewer to watch it
For photos, it’s DCIM double click you have the folder containing the photos click finally and you have the photo files, select and copy-paste into your Photo folder
I did my best to detail the steps I hope it is understandable

Good evening,
Currently, when you connect a recent Galaxy to a computer, the default option is file transfer. Therefore, there shouldn't normally be anything to do.
The smartphone is visible in Windows File Explorer with its internal memory and possibly the SD card.
If by chance the charging option is active, the smartphone remains visible, but Windows indicates that the folder is empty.
So I don’t really see what’s going on.
You might need to take a look in the Windows Device Manager (accessible by right-clicking on the Start button).
Normally, the Galaxy should be listed under Mobile devices.
What we conceive clearly,
and the words to express it come easily.

Hello,
The Galaxy is not recognized by the explorer (that would be too easy!!!)
I'm wondering if the new USB-C connection could be the problem??
(I have the cable that came with the phone: USB-C/USB2 (or 3?))
Note: the cable is not physically at fault: the battery is charging...
