Open Office won't open anymore

Hello

I just saw that the Open Office application installed on my new Windows 11 PC no longer works. In fact, I can no longer open the letters I've created (I could before).

Honestly, I don't understand what's going on.

I'm 70 years old, I'm doing what I can, but I need to print these letters.

On the other hand, PDF documents work.

Can someone help me?

      Hello,

      These are not emails but letters intended to be printed, and Outlook has nothing to do with it.

      We might be able to repair the Open Office profile, but it will be more technical.

      We probably would be quicker to uninstall Open Office and reinstall it or install the latest version of LibreOffice instead; in any case, the documents will be kept.

    Hello,

    I don't see the connection between Outlook.com (which works for me in its latest version renamed Mail) and the printing issue with OpenOffice files.

    That said, I think distinct verifications need to be carried out:

    1. Is Outlook.com working correctly?
    2. Which software is used to open and print the PDFs?
    3. Did you download Open Office from a safe site, and is it printing text files (ODT, Word)?
    4. What email service do you use? (I did not see you mention Outlook)
    5. In what form were you storing the messages, if you were doing so, in other words, were you printing directly from the email application?

    If that's the case, try purging the profile

    Close Open Office or Libre Office
    press the WINDOWS key (a flag) and R (simultaneously).
    -Then, type %appdata%
    -Look for the OpenOffice or LibreOffice folder
    -Rename it to OldOpenOffice or OldLibreOffice
