Hello,
I can no longer open .odt files.
A document recovery window opens; I start the recovery. It goes smoothly since I have a green checkmark in front of recovery completed and a new Open Office 4.1.5 window immediately opens stating: "Open Office has crashed due to an unexpected error. All files you were working on will now be saved. Upon the next startup of Open Office, all these files will be automatically recovered... I click OK... A document recovery window opens; I start the recovery....
I had an old version of Open Office when this started, so I downloaded the new version. While reading on forums, I understood that you cannot install a new version over an old one.
I uninstalled Open Office.
I cleaned the PC with CCleaner and Malwarebytes and then reinstalled Open Office. Open Office still does not work.
Can someone help me resolve this issue as working with WordPad.txt is much more limited and less enjoyable to use.

Try to replace Open Office with Libre Office from the link below which is in French, free and compatible with Open Office and Microsoft Office files
