Hello,

I have a Panasonic NV EX3 camcorder whose cassette compartment refuses to open: does anyone have an explanation and especially a solution?

Thank you in advance for your response

Hello, I am on my third camcorder that has broken down after a few years; they are in a cupboard and were only used to transfer content from tapes to the PC in digital format for backup. I have gone from Video 8 HI8 to mini DV, which still works; the electronic components inevitably oxidize, and brands no longer cover repairs. The obsolete tape has been replaced by the memory card.

Note: apart from ensuring that the battery is charged or the power cord is plugged in, I have no solution.

    Hello,

There is no option (as with CD/DVD players) to push the end of a paperclip into the hole of the cassette compartment.

All you have to do is go through a Panasonic dealer to get it fixed. Avoid doing it alone, you might damage the compartment.
