Avast Refund

Hello,

How can I get a refund for a 120 euro direct debit made by Avast? I keep asking them for the refund but they treat me like a fool. If anyone has succeeded, I would appreciate the recipe....

Hello,

Any contract by tacit renewal continues to produce its effects as long as it is not terminated in the appropriate forms and within the applicable deadlines; the general rule is that the debtor does not even need to be informed unless the contract is covered by the Châtel law; in any case, Avast sends a reminder email in this instance.

If one does not read it or, as with any other contract, does not mark a deadline on their calendar to exercise this termination, Avast is not responsible.

Before crying thief, the relevant terms are clearly outlined on the Avast site, and they are not obligated in any way to refund a subscription period if one has forgotten to cancel it.

Avast renewal follow-up and I hope FIN.
I found a phone number for Avast (on Google) +33805543957 through which I was put in touch with their refund service.
Apparently, immediate refund confirmed by the following email received shortly after:

Hello Henri,

Thank you for contacting Avast.

In accordance with your request, I have just processed the refund for your order 140973768200.

Your refund of €99.99 is being processed and should take place within 7 working days.

Please note that this refund will be made directly to the account from which the order was placed.

I remain at your disposal for any further information.

There you go, I'm crossing my fingers, I will wait 7 days and see if the refund is indeed effective.

Avast Subscription; I am at fault because I did not cancel the auto-renewal; as a result, they charged me €99. But the problem is that I found a cheaper subscription with them that I purchased at the end of June 2024, and I still can't get it refunded; they are turning a deaf ear and not responding to my repeated complaints. I don’t know what to do anymore; there is no chat option to try to explain. I have been with them for 15-17 years, but this is the last time.
