Open ports for IPTV applications

Hello,

I'm trying to get an IPTV app to work on my Géant receiver, GN 2000 HD PLUS, equipped with Lynx IPTV with an active subscription, but the app won't connect through my D-Link router. However, when I try to connect using the hotspot from my smartphone, it works perfectly. I assume the problem lies with my router and the accessibility for IPTV apps... How can I unblock access to IPTV apps on my router, please?

Thank you

Well, let's close the subject right away.
We're going to stop with the myth "everything is legal with us".

IPTV is only legal if the content provided is legal, and therefore the company signs broadcasting agreements with all the channels it claims to broadcast.
After research, it seems that only an offer based on the model of local IPTV with local and therefore legal channels is legal in Algeria, namely the private company Hasnaoui Télécom Algérie.

The rest is just as illegal in Algeria; in fact, in 2021, an IPTV node was dismantled in Algeria as well. Several other platforms, Algerian or not, have been shut down. Several media outlets in this country have reported on it; you just need to look.

And finally, regarding the provider mentioned here, Lynx is indeed an illegal provider, everywhere including Algeria. This is evident given the wide distribution and the "prices". Again, you just need to search and not for long.

In short, this conclusively closes the subject here.

Good evening,

You need to check with your IPTV provider... there should be some explanations, or a website that provides the configuration instructions...

There may be some ports to open on your router... or some countries may not be authorized...?

Not as far as I know, Jeannets, IPTV is not illegal here and my neighbors have the same feature, and it works for them, with the same ISP, so I’m leaning more towards the router configuration.

Hello,

We cannot guess your setup, don't you think it's useful to describe it?

How is your router connected to the Internet?

How is your smartphone connected to the Internet when you are using the hotspot feature?

I didn't say "illegal"... there are only countries where it doesn't work due to unsigned agreements, for example.

The Giant, GN 2000 HD PLUS, is a satellite receiver... So what are you talking about here, IPTV goes through the internet, it's not the same thing...

The Lynx IPTV is a subscription for €40 that seems to work on Android, so smartphones and other devices running Android, like some Smart TVs.

If you haven't paid...? or if you're not on Android, with the right code, it can't work... But we don't know about this thing if you don't give us real explanations... Because it seems like you're mixing a lot of things up.

If you think it's the router...? with no other possibilities, all you need to do is exactly copy your neighbor's settings and apply them at home...

Here's a slightly more technical approach... but it's not all there... you need to dig deeper into the subject, for more details.
