Headphone mode that won't turn off
paul -
Hello, I have a Samsung A14 5G Galaxy and I dropped it in water. I dried it, etc. and I made the terrible mistake of putting my headphones in 1 hour after the accident, and it stayed in headphone mode. I don't know what to do anymore; I have no sound and when I call, I have to use speakerphone, otherwise, I can't hear my counterpart and vice versa. Sometimes it turns off and on again the next day. I don't know what to do, please help me.

Hello
Unfortunately, it says "not waterproof" on this low-end product from the brand.
I'm never optimistic when it comes to water and electronics. Sometimes there's oxidation on a contact...
No solution except cleaning because water is never pure, short circuits cause current leaks resulting in malfunctions and oxidation continues; only after internal cleaning followed by complete drying can an assessment be made. This is workshop work, and if it's under warranty, even if it doesn't cover the cost in this case, ask for a quote before agreeing to the work.
Sorry, we are never safe from unexpected events. It's extremely rare to have taken out insurance covering this kind of accidental damage; only you can know if it's an option when it exists.
