Where to download Intel 7260 Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 10

Hello to the Administrators and Members of CCM,
My issue is as follows: I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T440 laptop running Windows 10 Pro 64, purchased new in August 2012.
I live in the canton (department) of Geneva in SWITZERLAND, in a hamlet where the arrival of fiber by SWISSCOM to the RJ45 socket in my office will never happen because it's a hamlet with only 150 inhabitants (non-profitable hamlet).
The SWISSCOM fiber reaches the entrance of the hamlet on a wooden pole, then a fiber-copper converter provides us with an internet speed from SWISSCOM to my Box in the office of 575 mb/s.
When measuring the Wifi speed between the Box and the laptop, which are both on my desk, the download speed is only 125 mb/s.
I tested the speed with my 2nd Lenovo Thinkpad P51 laptop, and the speed between the Box and the PC is 575 mb/s, which is almost 5 times higher than that of the Lenovo T440... which is strange.
To try to improve the speed, I first wanted to download the driver for the wifi card of the Lenovo T440, which is the:
Intel 7260 Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 10 64 bits.
However, on the Intel site, the driver is no longer available

See https://www.intel.fr/content/www/fr/fr/products/sku/75174/intel-wirelessn-7260/downloads.html
And on the Lenovo site, it's the same thing, which is strange

To conclude my "1st essay," could you please send me a link that will allow me to download the driver for the:
Intel 7260 Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 10 64 bit
and inform me how to uninstall and then reinstall it so that I don't make a mistake on the Lenovo T440 from 2012, which I only use for administrative purposes, but I would really like to surf at 575 mb/s to follow the correct and precise weather on the central space weather site.
While waiting, have a good Sunday, wishing you in advance a good start to the school and professional week.

Hello
For the T440, the drivers are here (nz0wj16w_64.exe) for 64-bit.
As for the link you provided to the Intel 7260 Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 10 64-bit
the drivers are indeed present (n15w106w.exe), but the T440 is not listed among the compatible devices?
It's very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...
Hello,
I had already found these 2 links, but what I don't understand is that in the 1st link we can no longer download:
Intel Wireless LAN Driver
for Windows 10(32-bit, 334.642 MB Severity = Critical
64-bit)-Thinkpad
And why can't we download it anymore?
Uh... the first link talks about drivers in general, 32 and 64 bits...
Below, you can find downloadable drivers for 64 bits and then those for 32 bits, and further down the Readme.txt for instructions on how to proceed.
Note: if we look at Intel's specifications for the Intel® Wireless-N 7260 drivers.
We find that these are 802.11bgn drivers, which implies that these drivers cannot exceed 150Mbits/s

1) I see you have the Avast VPN on the PC, do you also have Avast as your antivirus?
2) Your Wifi is this one ==> Intel (R) Wireless-N 7260

3) Give me the Wifi device ID ==> click here
PS: the first line is enough, post it via 1 copy/paste
example ==> PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_81681849&REV_15
4) In the device manager, check the date and version of the Wifi driver
Re billimaxime,
1. YES, I have Avast Premium Security as my antivirus - 10 licenses paid for 10 PCs, also with Avast Cleanup Premium and Avast Secureline VPN and Avast AntiTrack Premium
Note : the VPN only starts if I activate it manually, but on the other hand, AntiTrack Premium starts with Windows 10 Pro 64
For my speed issue at 125 mb/s, is it better to disable it on startup?
2. the identifier found in the DXDIAG.txt file:
Name: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260
Device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_C2608086&REV_83\4&3519D99C&0&00E1
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\Netwbw02.sys, 18.33.0017.0001 (English), 4/30/2019 07:07:22, 3521016 bytes
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\Netwfw02.dat, 4/30/2019 07:07:22, 4535040 bytes
3. the date and version of the Wifi driver = 04/29/2019 - version 18.33.17.1
THANK YOU very much billimaxime for your time dedicated this Sunday, time that advances my little knowledge in IT

1. YES, I have Avast Premium Security as antivirus - 10 licenses paid for 10 PCs, also with Avast Cleanup Premium and Avast Secureline VPN and Avast AntiTrack Premium
when do the licenses expire?
do you have the same "speed" issue on the other PCs?
note: the VPN only starts if I manually activate it, but AntiTrack Premium starts with Windows 10 Pro 64
ok
For my speed issue at 125 mb/s, is it already better to disable it on startup?
test by disabling it and restarting the PC after disabling
2. the identifier found in the DXDIAG.txt file:
you saw the identifier in the device manager :)
you have the latest driver for your Wifi, I can't find anything better :(
Device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_C2608086&REV_83
3. the date and version of the Wifi driver = 29.04.2019 - version 18.33.17.1
PS: no problem for the help :)
PS2: waiting for your response about Avast
@+
1. The Avast licenses for 10 PCs are paid until April 2025
2. A Lenovo Thinkpad P51 Windows 10 Pro 64, a Lenovo Thinkpad T460 - Windows 10 Pro 64, and a Lenovo Thinkpad Windows 7 Pro 64 have been set up.
As a result, the WiFi speed between the 3 PCs and the SWISSCOM Router is between 450 and 500 mb/s, which is normal.
However, on the Lenovo Thinkpad T440 - Windows 10 Pro 64, both Avast Antitrack and Avast have been disabled, and after a restart, the WiFi speed remains low at 160 mb/s.
I was curious to disable the WiFi and connect the PC via Ethernet, then do speed tests.
The surprise is that the speed between the PC and the Router rose to 432 mb/s

did you see this explanatory message from Baladur13 regarding WiFi? ==> click here

your Ethernet device is newer and offers a better speed than the WiFi connection ==> click here

PS: if you have to/prefer to use the WiFi connection, you will need to invest in a USB WiFi adapter

Good evening,
Just so you know, I was able to fix everything by swapping the WiFi card from the Lenovo Thinkpad T460 running Windows 7 Pro with that of the Lenovo Thinkpad T440 - Windows 10 Pro 64 - from August 2012
The card from the T460 is newer than the one from the T440
The WiFi download speed (Wireless - Fidelity) between the Lenovo T440 and the SWISSCOM Router; is now the same as what can be tested in MySWISSCOM Login between the Router and the SWISSCOM operator, nearly 1 Gigabyte, which is the monthly subscription paid
It should be noted that in SWITZERLAND, if the cable of a floating pair in the sky connecting the fiber-copper converter pole to your house is very old, as was the case for me, you just need to contact SWISSCOM at the green number 0800 800 800 and request the replacement of the cable called "position cable"
After my call, 3 technicians from SWISSCOM-CABLEX intervened 5 days later and 100/% free of charge
@ + and to 1 of these 4 on CCM = Swiss expression = See you very soon on Comment Ça Marche to finish very well
