Hello,
I'm trying my best to bring my old PS3 back to life, but nothing works; it won’t display anything anymore.
When I hold down the power button until I hear the two beeps, the HDMI cable signal is detected, but the screen remains black. To clarify, only the power cable and the HDMI output are connected to my screen, which works perfectly with my Switch but not with my PS3.
So I was looking to understand if it’s just broken or if it’s normal for the screen to stay black due to my manipulation, even though the signal is detected.

It's possible that your PS3 has a problem with the video output. The two beeps you hear could mean that the PS3 is trying to reset its video settings, but without success. Here's something you can try:
1. Completely turn off your PS3 (switch at the back).
2. Turn it on while pressing and holding the power button on the front for about 5 seconds until you hear two beeps.
3. Release the button at that moment.
This action sends the signal to reset and readjust the console's video settings. If the screen remains black despite this, it's likely that the video output is defective. In that case, you'll need to have your PS3 repaired by a professional.
