Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I need to change the type of apostrophe in OpenOffice. So far, the software only gives me the straight kind, while I need the curly one. I tried using the autocorrect feature, but it doesn't work. I really would like the curly one to appear every time I press the apostrophe key. Please help me solve this very annoying problem.

Thank you for reading.

    Hello,

See if your trial matches this:

    https://forum.framasoft.org/viewtopic.php?t=31281#:~:text=les%20langues...-,In%20OpenOffice%2C%20go%20to%20Tools%20>%20AutoCorrection%20>%20Quotation%20Marks.,That's%20it!

Another option is to use a spell checker, which is claimed to allow this replacement:

However, not being an OpenOffice user, I cannot guarantee the accuracy of these solutions.

    Hello

To avoid replacing apostrophes with single quotes, use the Grammalecte extension, which is a grammatical checker.

Be sure to choose the version corresponding to OpenOffice.

Grammalecte menu > Text formatter >
Check the Apostrophe box > click Apply > the apostrophes will become typographic apostrophes > click Close.

Thank you very much for this responsiveness. I will explore these avenues.
