A Wii disc freezes my Wii U -_-

Good evening, I have a problem with a CD. It's Mario Kart Wii. Once the game starts, and the page on the controller is displayed, the screen goes black and shows the following message: "An error has occurred. Press the EJECT button, remove the disc, and turn off the console. Please refer to the Wii manual for more details." The only thing I can do is eject the disc and put it back in; I can't turn off the Wii U, I have to unplug it and then plug it back in. This bug only happens with this game. I can turn it off with the other games that have bugs (not many) or restart it by removing it, cleaning it, and putting it back in (doesn't always work/doesn't work with MKWII). I've had this game for about 10 years; I misplaced it at one point, but it always worked well after I found it, I think it stopped working since 2022. I tried the toothpaste technique with no positive results :(

    Hello, if your disc is scratched, it needs to be repaired.

    There are machines that can repair game CDs. For 5 euros, if it's a good machine, the CD will look like new.

    These machines generally remove fingerprints, small scratches, etc.
