HP Smart Tank Plus 555 Printer Setup

Hello,

I have a PC running Windows 7 Premium Family SP1

I just purchased an HP Smart Tank Plus 555 printer (I made sure to check on the box that it was compatible with Windows 7 SP1) and I discovered upon delivery that HP no longer supports this printer model for Windows 7 since November 2022, and the printer comes with no installation software. You need to go to the HP website to download the software, which is now only available for Windows 10 and 11.

Is anyone able to provide me with the installation software for Windows 7?

PS: I also tried to upgrade to Windows 10, but the migration software (MediaCreationTool22H2) returns the error code 0x80072F8F-Ox20000)

    Hello,

    To install your printer on Windows 7, go to this website:

    https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/printer-setup/hp-smart-tank-plus-550-wireless-all-in-one-series/18695928/model/18695929

    Click on the blue box that says "Download"... It will download the file "HPEasyStart_16_2_4.exe", you double click on it and it installs... then you restart your PC and set up your printer... and there’s no reason it shouldn’t work... How do those who are not on Windows do it...?
