Scribus - how to adjust the space height between 2 paragraphs

Hello,
As a new Scribus user, I haven't found a way to adjust the line spacing between two paragraphs. Sometimes a paragraph break is too large for me, but I still need to separate the paragraphs from each other. How can I do that?

Thank you for your contradictory response. I had looked in the paragraph styles before sending my message, but I didn't find any trace of increasing or decreasing the line spacing between paragraphs. It is possible to increase the line spacing within the paragraph text, but not between the paragraphs themselves (at least, I haven't found it…).
I found an answer on an English forum:
1. Create a new paragraph style ("Edit > Styles" or "F3").
2. In the "Properties" tab, under "Spacing and Alignment", you will notice two boxes: "Space above" and "Space below"; change one of these two as you see fit.
3. Apply the new style to the text.
Check the version you have...
Hello,
Thank you for your response... but no effect on the text. Maybe I forgot something? Here’s what I did.
1 - I opened my document
2 - I positioned the cursor on the text (without selecting it)
3 - Edit/Style/Properties
4 - New paragraph style
5 - I put a title in the "Based on" area
6 - In the distance "space above" value: 20 pt
7 - Apply
8 - Done
9 - Returned to the text (clicked on the relevant paragraph).
10 - No effect is applied: the distance between the two paragraphs remains unchanged, that is to say: normal line spacing of the text (as if I had simply done a forced line break (Shift/Enter), without creating a new paragraph (Enter).
Apparently either it doesn't work, or (which is more likely!) I skipped a step...
I just positioned myself
I need to upgrade my version... I don't have the same menus... I'm still on version 1.4!! They are on version 1.5.9...
