Space between words

I went a bit too fast, excuse me,
I'll continue: I am working in Word 2007 and I have paragraphs in some books that look like this:

I would like to bring the words closer together to make it a bit more ... nice...

Can’t you be a bit more specific?
If it’s in a text editor, just adjust the spacing and decrease the size, that’s all ^^

either you want to reduce the space between words and you do what I said earlier, that is to say you select the space and you reduce its size, it's long, it's annoying, I know but tough luck ^^

Or you want to reduce the space between two lines and in that case under Word 2007: in the home tab, paragraphs, you have a button "line spacing"
