Ford Fiesta audio input and audio settings problem

Hello,

My problem concerns audio playback.

I have a 2013 Ford Fiesta model that doesn't seem to have Bluetooth service, but that's not a bother since I connect my phone (iPhone 8) with a cable; however, that's not what bothers me. My real problem is this: when I want to play music (with Apple Music in this case), I normally set a playlist to random on my phone and generally it seemed to work fine. Except that recently, when I start a playlist, a song plays, but every 3 seconds there's a brief pause in the music and I see on the Ford Fiesta screen that it changes track (1, then 2, then 3, etc.) without the music actually changing. It's as if the audio settings are misconfigured between the car and the phone, causing a conflict. If you have any idea about the problem, it would really help me a lot.
Also, it would be even better if I could find a way to "disable" the "iPod" system (because when I plug in my phone it treats it like an iPod and doesn't play the iPhone audio the way I want, but rather uses built-in settings from the car system that randomly plays music as it sees fit, which conflicts with my phone settings). Moreover, it only understands playlist songs because when I try to search for a song in the Apple Music search bar, it absolutely doesn't work and it changes songs in a loop once I click on a song (the same problem happens on Spotify). AND ON TOP OF THAT, when I click on a song in my playlist that is further than the first song, it always resets to track 1 (for example, if I click on the thirteenth song in my playlist to play it directly instead of playing track 13, it plays track 1, and when I click on it again, it moves to track 2, and so on and so forth). So I've deduced that it’s just the car's audio system settings that are programmed this way, but it's very annoying. I just want to be able to play the sound from my phone normally, meaning that the car doesn't conflict with what I'm asking and that the car simply acts like a Bluetooth speaker would, amplifying the sound I send it. So again, if you have any idea how I can do that, it would be great!

Thank you for taking the time to read this long message. I hope you can help me.
Best regards,

    Hi

when I plug in my phone, it recognizes it as an iPod

Yes, if it makes a mistake at first, it can mess everything up.

Who provides and updates the car's software 10 years later?

Maybe more answers by asking the question on the neighboring forum more focused on cars, with the same username and the same code as here
