Hello,

I purchased a perpetual license for Adobe Lightroom Classic CC a few years ago.

Today, Adobe is threatening to disable my software if I don't subscribe to a paid plan within 10 days!

The CC versions are Creative Cloud versions... on subscription.
You can find group licenses at prices well below their actual value. But I have the impression that their validity is limited in time to one year.

It's not just Lightroom that is affected... Acrobat and other software are in the same situation.

The only software that still remains active (and activatable) with a permanent license is the CS6 suite and Acrobat Pro 2020 (still sold by Adobe).

      Hello,

In fact, what is surprising is that Tanit talks about a permanent license for a CC version that is indeed subscription-based.

        Good evening Pierr..
It must be an "unofficial" CC version!

Has this happened to anyone around here?

    Is there a remedy?

Will I lose all my development and organization work if I refuse to subscribe to a paid plan?

Thanks in advance to everyone for your answers!

      Hello Tanit,

Do you have an official permanent license?

      Never heard of it.

If not, have you tried contacting Adobe?

      See you!

    Hello,

What you are writing worries me because I have an official permanent license for Lightroom.

I just checked: my Lightroom is operational and I have no messages from Adobe. However, I'm still not reassured. My trust in Adobe is very limited.

I advise you to only use Lightroom after disconnecting your computer from the Internet. It's a bit cumbersome, but you should be safe.

        Hello,

This article announced the end of perpetual licenses. It also meant the end of updates for previously subscribed perpetual licenses.

That's the case with my license. I have version 6.14 which must date back to 2017 or a little earlier. I no longer have any updates, but that doesn't bother me.

Until now, these versions have never been called into question. Let's hope it lasts.
