Hello,
Following some information I found on CCM: Installing W11 on a non-compatible PC using a command line, I executed the prescribed instructions, namely:
- creating a USB installation drive for W11
- command prompt cmd, drive letter of the USB followed by the command "setup /product server" and pressing enter - it gives me the following message:
"the setup is not recognized as an internal or external command, an executable program, or a batch file"
Does anyone have a solution to resolve this issue?

The question was asked a few days ago.
Setup.exe is located on the USB drive intended for installation or in a Windows 11 ISO that we have mounted on our desktop.
Therefore, it needs to be searched in the relevant drive, let's call it X:, by typing X: or
CD /D X: followed by enter before the setup command.

Thank you for your response. I tried with PowerShell, but it’s getting complicated. It gives me the following message:

to brucine: I understand everything you are telling me, but it still doesn't work.
On the W11 installation USB drive, there is an image:
windows 11 InstallationAssistant - application - 4081 kb.
If I click on this drive, I get a message saying "this personal computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install W11."
Indeed, that's why I'm trying the trick that is the subject of my initial question.
I don't see what the problem is; I'm following the instructions to the letter?

I have never done it and I will not do it because I see no point in it.
That said, and as I mentioned, the question was raised a few days ago and the participant reported its success.
I don't know what you have on your USB stick, I mounted a Windows 11 ISO that was lying around on my PC to see: it's an executable setup.exe (without which the process wouldn't work anyway) weighing 93 KB and for which we are supposed to enter the famous command line.

The information found online are not magic formulas, it might work
1) if we know how to do everything correctly
2) if it's adapted to the situation (and someone must have given the indication in a particular case to someone who knew how to do it)
It can also be part of a list of attempts until we find the method that works... or not.
We just know that ""this personal computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install W11. Astafor99 is trying to install W11 where Microsoft hasn't even tried. So good luck.

Forcing the installation of W11 is very simple with the "MediaControlTool" utility.

Quick and easy, I didn't have any issues with the PCs where I tested it. One piece of advice, however, you should have a HDD or preferably an SSD of at least 100GB, 8GB of RAM, and a processor with 4 physical cores (or 2 physical + 2 logical).

Considering all the information you have given me and my limited knowledge of computers, I have decided to abandon this project which initially seemed easy to me (CCM computer section "here's the ultimate trick to install Windows 11 on a non-compatible PC") by Fabrice Brochain dated 10/11/2023.

Okay, but the article in question is just a summary, not to say what I think about it.....the link I just posted above is a method that is accessible to everyone and perfectly functional, at least on fairly powerful and not too old PCs, and to have everything backed up, including an image of Windows 10 to go back 100% if there's a problem.
