    Hello,

Wouldn't the effect on the icons rather be the one on the text of your bold 3D effect icons?

Good question, and how can I remove this effect?

In the absence of knowing who you are responding to, see the solutions proposed in the link in <1>, but the workaround would not be guaranteed to succeed in all cases.

To modify the theme itself (again, this works in such cases on Windows 10), go to Settings - Personalization - Themes and choose a default theme that, once tested, does not have these characteristics like the default Windows solid color theme, and feel free to modify it afterwards (and of course continue not to allow themes to change icons as specified in the same link).

I am on Windows 11 and I followed the process you gave me in the comment but nothing changes.

If changing the theme doesn't work, and as explained by Pistouri in the link, the modifications he suggests don't work either, no one seems to have found an alternative solution to what would be a bug other than uninstalling the update KB5030310.

It therefore seems urgent to wait.

    Hello,

In the absence of a bug reported in the Microsoft Hub.

    To try:

    With or without Windows Themes:

Disable transparency at startup, the taskbar, and Action Center W11.

Settings =►Personalization (in the left menu).

    On the right =► Colors

    Disable the 2 boxes:

** Show accent color on Start screen and taskbar

** Show accent color on title bars and window borders

    Close the Settings window.

    Restart the PC.

Option to switch to light mode, if dark mode is enabled:

Display a custom image instead of a Windows 11 theme.

Right-click on an image =► Set as desktop background

    Or:

    Settings =►Personalization

    On the right =► Background

The line =► Choose a photo

    Click on =► Browse photos

    The Windows Explorer opens.

Navigate to the location of the photo (Images folder for example).

    Restart the PC.

If this does not work, reset to default settings:

Settings =►Personalization (in the left menu).

    On the right =► Colors

Enable the highlighted boxes to activate the custom color options:

    A+

      Hi

Following the KB5031455 update, the display has returned to normal (without shadow) without any other actions.
