Hello,

How can I add a free silent ringtone on my iPhone XR, a ringtone that will be accessible from the ringtone menu?

If possible, without going through iTunes...

PS: I want to silence certain contacts and some unknown numbers, and I plan to assign this silent ringtone to these contacts.

    I found this a bit like it used to be without a guarantee and iTunes is normally mandatory:

    How to set a song as a ringtone on an iPhone XR?

    Get an mp3 file of the song/music of your choice. Open this file in iTunes or Music and display Get Info by right-clicking on it. In the Options tab, isolate a maximum of 30 seconds from the music or song you wish to use as a ringtone.

      I’m fine with that, but it seems that we are talking about creating a silent file, not extracting an existing sound.

      We should be able to create it from scratch or download one, it’s quicker:
