WiFi connection issue TCL Android TV

Hello,

I am reaching out to you,

I am unable to connect my TCL "Android TV" to the "Wiifirst" network in the residence; when I select this network, no password is required, and therefore I have no wifi.

However, I have a 5G plan with my iPhone and I can share my connection, but my TV does not see my iPhone among the available networks even though all settings are okay.

Could you please help me?

Hello,

I can't be sure, but I imagine your iPhone is sharing the connection via a 5GHz Wi-Fi band, which your TV may not be compatible with. After doing some research, you should have an option in the hotspot settings called "Maximize Compatibility" that should transmit in 2.4GHz, which should allow your TV to detect the Wi-Fi generated by your iPhone.

I hadn't thought of that, my TV is finally connected to the Wi-Fi.
