Motherboard purchased on Amazon. Serial number HS

Hello,
At the beginning of the year I bought an MSI motherboard on Amazon (seller Amazon sender and MSI affiliate link).
Unfortunately, two days ago this motherboard broke down (confirmed by a group of experts composed of myself).
I therefore tried to contact MSI to return the board so they could repair it or send me one that works.
Unfortunately, when I enter the serial number of the board on the MSI site; they say it does not match anything.
My question is, is this common, and is there a remedy?
ps; purchased on the French Amazon marketplace
Thank you

Hi,
I recommend you contact MSI's customer service directly via their website through the online chat or by submitting a ticket to explain the issue. If, despite that, the serial number remains problematic, contact Amazon support.

The serial number was supposed to be on a label glued to the box.. What you have as markings on the motherboard are the manufacturing references, and the date..
You might possibly still have it on the invoice... -

Hi
MSI customer service is an adventure...
MSI support is available only if the product is more than one year old. And exclusively in the country of sale... and with the mandatory condition of having registered the product after purchase...
In your case, you should not try to go directly through MSI but rather return it to Amazon, as long as the card is under warranty (one year if the seller is outside France and two years if in France). On the other hand, if the seller is outside France and the card is more than one year old... it’s complicated...

To conclude this post. In addition to being cheap components, sold as mid-range, MSI manages to mislead (the serial number is never passed) and I refuse to pay for overpriced communication to contact them.
Horrible hardware and method of thieves, thank you MSI
