Issue importing media in DaVinci Resolve

Hello, when I was on Windows, I used Davinci without any issues and quite regularly. But recently, I switched to Linux (Pop OS) and wanted to continue using the software for my edits. However, no media is displaying anymore.
Let me explain: when I import a video, it appears in the media library, but in gray, and I can't get any image or sound from it. I also don’t get any error messages or "media offline." The problem doesn’t seem to stem from the video format, as I tested with clips I had previously used on Resolve, and they also stopped importing correctly.
I searched the Internet, and it seems I'm not the only one facing this issue, but I found almost no answers to the problems of these people on the platforms where they posted their questions, and nothing I tried has worked.
I've already reinstalled Resolve and converted the files I wanted to import several times without success. I should mention that my PC has a 10th generation Intel Core i7, paired with an Intel Iris Plus graphics card. Also, I've been using the free version of Resolve (18.5) from the start, and I had never encountered any issues with it before changing the OS on my computer.
Do you know how to fix this problem?

Hello, I'm not pulling a rabbit out of my hat. I think we need to proceed by "elimination" – like changing video editing software; there are free ones that will do the job – downloading a codec pack – reinstalling Windows
